OUR STORY

Born at House No. 33

33Cocoa began at home, around our family table, with a love for good ingredients, beautiful flavours and the kind of food that makes people pause for a moment. What started with handmade chocolates has slowly grown into a family-run artisan brand in Bicester, Oxfordshire — creating indulgent chocolate gifts and natural nut butters with the same care we would put into something made for someone we love.

coz It Began at 33

“A small house number became the beginning of a much bigger dream.”

The name 33Cocoa is deeply personal to us.

“33” is the house number where our journey first began — the place where our ideas were scribbled into notebooks, chocolates were tested late into the night, and our first small batches were made with more hope than certainty.

“Cocoa” honours where it all started: our love for artisan chocolate, texture, flavour and the quiet magic of creating something by hand.

From Careers to Craft

From engineering and software to chocolate, nuts and recipes.

Before 33Cocoa, our days looked very different.

Nilay spent 13 years in automotive engineering and data science industry, solving problems, refining details and working with precision. Nupur spent 12 years in software development, building mobile apps, thinking in systems and creating experiences that worked beautifully behind the scenes.

In many ways, those skills never really left us. They simply found a new home.

Today, that same precision goes into tempering chocolate, balancing flavours, refining nut butter textures, testing recipes and building a brand with patience and intention.

“We didn’t leave precision behind — we brought it into every recipe, every texture and every small batch.”
